"And Other Worlds"

Back and forth
Like a twisting nozzle
Rotating the sky
On the edge of the ocean;
Tiny men move the mechanical strings
On their marionette-like crane
Doing the work of countless numbers.

Just behind the clearing,
Near the lonely landing, restless boats
Wait one-by-one watching an unsuspecting
Boy and his dog wander through their world
Of dreams come true and far away shores.

Solo birds glide across muddy skies
Breaking the wind into paths that lead South
Toward enchanted isles where days are long
And the eyes of the night wink back at each new star.
Where false fantascies know no form and where
Secrets of the unkown hold no mystery.
