"An Earthscape tale: My Air Garden"

I like to watch the misty silk screen of gentle rain fall
Stretching into silver ribbons inside my "Air Garden"
of woods and streams.

Tiny drops making see-through pools in shallow places
Where I stand and gaze back at the sky.

Across the meadow, not too far away; it fills distant
sidewalks and splashes on walls sketching images of things
never seen in other places. Where roof-top drains overflow--
listen! The little drops sound so big like the stampede
of frightened people across a deserted city. I'm even

afraid sometimes.

But when I walk again, beneath the fading clouds of gentle mist;
I hear the rapture of the trees, the secrets of the rainbow.
As I wander through my "Air Garden" of woods and streams--
I listen, it's the voice of hope calling!
